Legal Address and Contact Person for Your Estonian Company
A quick intro
Every Estonian company must have a registered address entered in the Commercial Register. Companies managed from outside Estonia also need an authorised contact person in Estonia. An Estonian Contact Person is broadly equivalent to a Registered Agent in other jurisdictions.
E-Resident Store provides both services for international company owners.
What is an Estonian legal address?
Your registered legal address is the official address of your company in the Estonian Commercial Register.
It may be used for official correspondence and forms part of your company’s public registry information.
What is a contact person?
A contact person acts as an authorised recipient of official documents in Estonia where the applicable legal requirements make one necessary. A contact person is a company, not an individual.
The contact person does not:
-
manage your company;
-
make business decisions;
-
access your bank account;
-
become a board member or shareholder.
